At the First Eastern Economic Forum which was held in Vladivostok, Russia on September 3-5 the company “Dalgraphite” informed about the course of graphite project “Soyuznoye” implementation and announced search of potential investors and partners.
“The deposit of crystalline graphite “Soyuznoye” is unique: both by reserves and, what is the most important, by the quality of the ore it is one of the best in the world,” — representative of the project team Nikolay Tlekhugov noted in the course of the pitch-session. “By the end of 2018 “Dalgraphite” will construct the main production facilities: an open-cast mine with the capacity of 400 thousand tons per year and a processing plant aimed at production of 40 thousand of graphite products annually. We invite to join to the project financial investors, strategic partners and companies specializing in development of technologies».
The company “Dalgraphite” proceeded to development of the crystalline graphite deposit “Soyuznoye” located in Jewish Autonomous Region, Russia in 2011. By this moment “Dalgraphite” completed exploration work, developed technologies for production of ordinary graphite grades, constructed site office and camp accommodation as well as a road to the production site. Simultaneously the company is developing technologies for production of pure grades of spherical graphite for advanced branches of industry. Commissioning of the processing plant is scheduled for the year 2019.
The total amount of investments into the project is estimated at 5.6 billion rubles, 650 million rubles of which have been already invested by the strategic investor – the refractories producer Magnezit Group. Requirements in financing at the expense of capital of investors and partners amount to 5 billion rubles.
Deposit of crystalline graphite “Soyuznoye” is one of the biggest and the most high-grade deposits of graphite in the world. “Soyuznoye” is located in Russia on the territory of Jewish Autonomous Region near the rural settlement Amurzet. It is the only graphite deposit of such a scale in Asia outside of China. Predicted total reserves of the deposit amount to 116 mln tons of ore containing 12,5% of graphite. Reserves of the ore are expected to be enough for mining and processing during 60 years.
